Since January, Meevo Digital has been working with the team at Felix Health to develop an online platform to simplify access to lifestyle medications for Canadians.
The idea will hopefully address the painfully long wait times to see a doctor. Visitors to felixforyou.ca complete a 10-minute onboarding application, which is then reviewed by a doctor within Felix’s network. If approved by the doctor, a prescription is sent directly to Felix’s pharmacy partner for fulfillment. Once fulfilled the medications are shipped in discreet packaging directly to the user within 48 hours. The idea may sound relatively simple, however, the reality is far from it. With HIPAA compliance and ensuring users’ personal data is secure, the only way to truly meet the requirements is with a complete custom build.
The platform launched its beta version in June after a successful $750,000 round of Seed funding and has been gaining the attention of the press ever since, with Bloomberg even dubbing it Canada’s ‘Uber for Doctors’.
